Angela Gilliland, Marketing Specialist,
Graduated from Texas Tech University after completing a four year scholarship in golf and a Bachelors in Business. Angela then went into the medical field where she spent 12 years as a medical distributor of spinal implants in the West Texas area. Angela and her family then moved into the DFW area and she joined Therapy Partners in October of 2007. Her focus is developing marketing strategies and facilitating business relationships with physicians and their staff while educating them on many different programs offered at all eight Physical Therapy clinics.
Angela enjoys spending time with her three children and traveling with her husband. Her husband, James, is a Regional Manager for Orthohelix (foot implant company) where he manages all the West. She resides in the Colleyville area. Her hobbies are golf and tennis.

John P Sims (“JP”), PT, LAT, Owner
JP graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree and subsequently attended UT Southwestern at Dallas, graduating in 1992 with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. JP specializes in outpatient orthopedics with a focus on functional rehabilitation using a strong comprehensive manual therapy approach. His energetic treatment style, with strong emphasis on patient education, has enabled him to produce positive outcomes for his patients over many years. JP is a native Texan and lives with his wife and three children in Flower Mound.

Tony Michels, DPT, Owner
Tony Michels, PT, DPT, OCS
Tony is the director of Physical Therapy of Flower Mound and one of the owners of Therapy Partners of North Texas. He grew up in Minnesota and received his undergraduate degree from Winona State University. In 1997 he graduated from Creighton University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Tony is a board certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He has been practicing in Flower Mound since 1999 and works closely with athletes ranging from junior high to professional levels. He treats all orthopedic conditions. Tony uses a hands-on approach combining manual therapy, functional exercise and patient involvement, all backed by the latest research, which yields favorable outcomes for his patients. He recently joined International Spine and Pain Institute as an assistant instructor and is close to completing a manual certification with this same organization. Tony and his wife Candice live in Flower Mound with their twin boys.

Corey Long, MSPT, Clinic Director
Corey graduated from Rockhurst University with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy having previously obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University. Corey has been practicing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy since 1997, specializing in treating patients with disorders of the spine and sports related injuries. His approach to therapy combines solid principles in exercise and manual therapy, including joint mobilization and muscle energy techniques when necessary. He currently teaches Continuing Education courses in the treatment of low back patients utilizing spine stabilization principles. In addition, Corey has developed strength and conditioning programs and is involved with local Coppell baseball teams. In his free time, he enjoys playing intramural sports and is actively involved with The Village Church.

Matt McCoy, MPT, Clinic Director
Matt McCoy, Director of Physical Therapy of Corinth, has been treating patinets in the Lake Cites Area for the past 3 years. Matt recieved his Masters of Physical Therapy at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 2003. He began his physical therapy career at Baylor Tom Landry Center where he had the opportunity to work under very experienced therapists and gain much knowledge and experience. In has been with Therapy Partners of North Texas since 2005 and has continued to treat a variety of orthopedic conditions. Matt has taken an interset in the treatment of spinal pathologies, using manual techniques as well as using evidence based practice to improve the quality of life of his patinets.In his spare time, Matt enjoys to play competitive tennis as well as teach tennis at local tennis clubs.

Meggen Heisserer, MPT, Clinic Director
Meggen earned her Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physical Therapy degrees from the University of Missouri where she was a 4 time Academic All-American in gymnastics. Meggen has been practicing outpatient orthopedics since 2001 using a combination of manual therapies, therapeutic exercise and patient education to reach each patient’s functional goals. Her personal approach and individualized treatment plans allow her to achieve effective outcomes for patients with varying diagnoses. In her free time, Meggen enjoys watching sports and traveling with her husband.
